Gustav Klimt prints on canvas and paper
Our Gustav Klimt prints reproduce his paintings as gallery-wrapped canvas, framed canvas, and fine art paper. Every painting here is in the public domain, and we print each one to order. The range covers gold portraits, women in patterned dresses, and the lake and garden views he painted in summer. Klimt prints also work well in pairs: a gold portrait beside a green landscape, both in the same frame color.
About Gustav Klimt
Gustav Klimt was born in 1862 in Baumgarten, near Vienna, and died in Vienna in 1918. His father was a gold engraver. Klimt trained at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts. With his brother Ernst and Franz Matsch, he first painted ceilings and walls for theaters and museums. In 1897 he helped found the Vienna Secession and became its first president. The group left the established artists' association and held its own exhibitions.
His best-known years are called his golden phase. In paintings such as The Kiss he laid gold leaf over flat, patterned grounds. Faces and hands stay soft and lifelike. Dresses and backgrounds turn into mosaics of spirals, circles and squares.
From 1900 Klimt spent most summers on Lake Attersee in Upper Austria. He stayed there with the family of Emilie Flöge, his lifelong companion. There he painted landscapes: still water, orchards, farmhouses and flower gardens.

Sizes and frames
Most prints in this collection are portrait format. Sizes run from 8 × 12 to 28 × 42 inches, or from 11 × 14 to 30 × 40 inches. The range depends on the shape of the painting. Each product page shows the current price for every size and format. Frames come in black, white, gold, silver, walnut and oak. A gold frame repeats the gold leaf in the portraits.
The Maiden and two Attersee lake views also come as panoramic prints, from 8 × 24 to 20 × 60 inches. Panoramic framed canvas comes in black, walnut or oak. For a Klimt poster look, choose fine art paper and your own frame. It is 340gsm, 100% cotton rag, and ships rolled in a tube.
Where Klimt wall art fits in a home
Gustav Klimt wall art suits rooms with warm light and simple furniture. A gold portrait can hold a wall on its own above a console, bed, or sofa. The landscapes are calmer. Their greens and blues sit well in bedrooms, reading corners, and home offices. For a gallery wall, pair two portraits in gold frames with one lake view in walnut or oak.

His portraits also appear in Vintage Portrait Paintings, and his lake views in Vintage Landscape Paintings. His gardens sit with other flower paintings in Vintage Floral Prints.
